If you caught my Instagram post the other day, you’ll know that this week has been absolutely torturous. Ever have those weeks where just every little thing is enough to mentally rip you apart? Yea, it was one of those for me. Thankfully it’s now Friday, the sun is shining and I’m sipping a delicious iced coffee. Cheers to the weekend friends!
Five for Friday
- You guys, the house. It’s actually starting to look like a house fit to live in, inside and out! Between the floor getting installed along with the ceramic tile, kitchen cupboards and countertop plus appliances – it is really starting to come together. Now, who wants to come help me pack both apartments?!
It’s dress season!Or should I say, it was dress season … for about 4 days. The weather lately has been nothing but rain and clouds and I’m tired of wearing boots dang it! I made the mistake of wearing a dress and slip on shoes to work yesterday because I thought the weatherman said it was going to be sunny and guess what? Yup it was pouring all morning. Also, why do my legs look like two freaking hot dogs in the above picture?
- I’ve been struggling hard these past few weeks in regards to keeping myself inspired with blogging. With the summer months coming up, I can already feel myself trying to not allow my blog to get pushed to the back burner. It seems like even sitting down to write a single post lately is enough to push me over the edge. Back when I made the change from blogging M-F to only three days a week, I thought it would give me time to relax and focus on the content that I was putting out but lately even three days a week seems to be much sometimes.
- Speaking of blogs, I have rediscovered my love for Julia’s blog. Everything about it is stunning, the layout, the photography – everything. My bloglovin’ feed is filled with countless blogs that I rarely read so lately I’ve been trying to clear it out so I can stay on top of the blogs I enjoy. As mentioned above, I’ve been really trying to find inspiration around me lately to help grow HKB and stay inspired with blogging before the “summer slump” hits us all.
- Last week I stumbled upon this brownie recipe and I haven’t stopped thinking about them. They are definitely on my “to make” list this weekend if I can find the time!
